The Schuster Performing Arts Center in downtown Dayton Ohio is the premier presenter and host for arts, culture and entertainment in this region. The store, located off of an impressive 6 story glass atrium spanning an entire city block designed by famed architect Cesar Pelli, is a busy pass through for business professionals and visitors. The design goal was to integrate with the existing architecture, particularly the shoji screen style sliding doors at the storefront.
The store features finely crated wood screen panels that echo the rhythmic patterns of the surrounding glass and steel framework. This material choice brings warmth and softness to the space, creating a sense of familiarity within the grand light-filled atrium.  The curved bar counter promotes an intuitive customer journey, allowing guests to engage with the space effortlessly.
